Description: This course is designed for someone who is interested in Computer Networking technologies such as Internetworking, Wide Area Networking and Cisco Routers/Switches. In today’s job market, having the correct combination of computer networking skills and qualifications will ensure you a competitive chance at achieving your employment goals. This course will allow the student to first concentrate on his or her Network + certification which will teach them about different Networking Media and Topologies, Protocols & Standards, Network Implementation, and Network Support. Studying these four core topics will enable a student to install, configure, and troubleshoot basic networking hardware, protocols, and services. Next, the student will achieve HANDS-ON experience about Cisco hardware and Cisco’s IOS (Internetwork Operating System) by learning how to Install, Configure, and Operate LAN, WAN, and dial access services for small networks, especially dealing with the following Networking Protocols: IP, IGRP, EIGRP, OSPF, Serial, Frame Relay, IP RIP, VLANs, RIP, Ethernet, ISDN, and Access Lists. The students will also learn how to configure new graphical user interfaces such as SDM (routers) and CNA (switches). In conclusion, a student who has achieved Network+ & CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification will be more competitive in the job market and will have a greater success rate in the Information Technology arena.
